With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Wickem of Byesville, Ohio, born in Cambridge, Ohio, who passed away on November 17, 2022 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Wickem and Iva Larrison Wickem; his siblings, Peggy, Lillian Wickem and Chuck; and his siblings-in-law, Theresa Wickem, Jack Warehime and Dale Lashley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Ovens (Clint McElfresh) of Caldwell and Grace Ovens of Cumberland; the mother of his children Dawn Ovens of Cumberland; his grandsons, Cooper McElfresh and Memphis Ovens; his sisters, Freda Lashley of Pleasant City, Sandy Swetz (Dale) of Cambridge and Becky Warehime of Cambridge; his close friend Cindy Watkins of Ava; and his home health aide Alyssa Ingram. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
