It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Lee McElroy of Byesville, Ohio, born in Buffalo, Ohio, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. McElroy and Reva McElroy (Reid); his wife Mary Joan McElroy (Lighty); his sister Norma Jean Armbruster; his daughter-in-law Traci McElroy; and his grandsons, Clint Cornette and Shawn McElroy.

He is survived by: his children, Bobby Lee McElroy, Connie Joan McElroy and James Alan McElroy (Laverne); and his grandchildren, Jamie Moore (Justin), Bryan McElroy (Angela), Jorge Octavio Lazoya (Nyda) and Michael Olivas. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren.
