It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Malernee of Byesville, Ohio, born in Cambridge, Ohio, who passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Malernee and Edna Malernee (Davis); and his wife Lawatta "Jo" Malernee (Callahan). He is survived by: his children, William Malernee (Theresa) of Byesville, Edward Malernee (Sue Ann) of Byesville, Christine Johnson of Cambridge, Cynthia Groznik (Tom) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Carol Snode of Hampton, VA; his grandchildren, Travis Johnson (Somer), Aaron Johnson, Willum Malernee (Destiny), Bitsi Gourley (Mickey), Brad Groznik (Andrea), Nathan Malernee, Nick Malernee, Nathasha Snode, Ashley Snode, Bill Slaughter (Mary) and Megan Sheppard (Chris); and his great grandchildren, Harper, Ledger, Jessica, Leah, Natalie, Sterling, Dove, Conner, Braelyn, Tanner, Taniah, James Jr., Jaylene, Shantel, Chanel, Denver, Quinton, Brody, Haiden, Colton, Liam, Olivia, Lyndsie, Chaz, Ka'Liegha and Octavya. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
