He is survived by: his wife Lydia Kauffman (Schmucker); his sons, Paul Kauffman (Ella) of Holmesville, John David Kauffman (Rachel) of Perrysville, Daniel Kauffman (Naomi) of Danville, Ervin Kauffman (Tillie) of Loudonville, Roy Kauffman (Susan) of Loudonville, Edward Kauffman (Ada) of Brinkhaven, Nelson Jr. Kauffman (Emma) of Fredericktown and Atlee Kauffman (Rachel) of Danville; and his siblings, Henry Kauffman (Connie) of Gambier, Clara Miller (Levi) of Shreve and Mattie Mast (Roy) of Dundee. He is also survived by 40 grandchildren.
