Layne of Dunlap, TN and Tracy Layne (Crystal); his daughter-in-law Joyce Thomas Layne of Painesville; his stepchildren, Cheryl Greene (Steve) of Willoughby, David Battles (Diana) of Munson Twp and Stephen Battles (Eileen) of Kent, OH.; and also Gene Jr. Layne (Anne) of Burton, OH. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.
