He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert John and Kathryn Mae Beten (Hoge); his son David E. Beten; and his sister Kathy Hilf (Beten). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Elizabeth Beten (Gunia); his daughter Lisa Swain (Brett); his grandsons, Ian Prokes (Courtney), Marco Nesic and Brian Nesic; his great grandchildren, Luke and Vinny Prokes; and his siblings, Roberta Beten and John Lee Beten (Andrea). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
