He was predeceased by: his parent William D.; and his grandson Adam Scott Deegan. He is survived by: his parent Mildred C. Archibald McAuley; his children, Tim McAuley (Annette) of Frisco, TX and Melissa Deegan (Jeff) of Norcross End, GA; his grandchildren, Chelsea Deegan, Brett Deegan and Danica Deegan; his siblings, Charles "Wally" McAuley of Caldwell and Susan Hall of Brawley; and his nieces, Linda and Georgina.
