He was predeceased by: his parents, Seth Makeever and Blanche Makeever (Moats); his son-in-law John Oberlander; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Noggle. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Kanable, Lyn Makeever (Janet), Sue Oberlander and Carol Makeever; his grandchildren, Jeanne Kanable, Eric Kanable, Brittany Pratt (Andrew Miller), Matthew Makeever (Kim), Kelly Burke (Mark), Elise Jones (David), John Oberlander (Amanda) and Justin Oberlander (Olivia); and his great grandchildren, Mia, Eric, Carson, Wyatt, Isaac, Noah, Micah, Leah, Louis and William. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:25 PM at the Wise Funeral Service (129 W Warren St, Bucyrus, OH 44820). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
"Mac," as he was known to coworkers, was recognized by Mr. Timken himself for his contributions to the plant's operations.
