It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretha Slaughter of Bucyrus, Ohio, born in Toledo, Ohio, who passed away on May 31, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Slaughter Sr. and Irvena Slaughter (Pickens); her daughter Margaret Marie Slaughter; and her brother William H. Slaughter Jr.. She is survived by: her children, James Earl Thompson Jr., Jameka Thompson and Billy; her siblings, Erving, Elliot, Dwight, Eva, Ruby, Valarie and Linnie; and her aunt Lilliam Pettiford. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
