He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Benedict (Pickens); his children, David W. Eldridge, Richard Eldridge, Jeff Benedict Jr., Starla Hook, Tammy Eldridge and Amy Lewis; and his siblings, Beverly Swihart, Guy A. Benedict, Julie Riggens and Chuck Benedict.
