She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvis Reed and Dexter Mae Plumley (Bennett); her husband Larry Ryland; and her brothers, Crawford and Basil Plumley.
She is survived by: her children, Scott A. Richmond (Monica) of Newark and Cheryl L. Ash (Brad) of Bloomington, Indiana; her grandchildren, Brian Richmond Ash (Shaina), Jamie Myers (Kevin) and Mark Powell (Heather); her great grandchildren, Reed Powell, Kensley Myers and Hudson Myers; and her brother Ronald Plumley (Waneda) of Cumberland, Virginia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
