She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Kieffer and Ruth Newman Kieffer; her husband Danny Merz; her brother Jack Kieffer; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Kieffer.
She is survived by: her nieces, Jackie Carder (Stephen) of Nelsonville, Cindy Lavely (Michael) of Grove City and Mary Dupler (Kyle) of Grove City; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Seth McDonald (Jamie), Daniel McDonald (Arelle), Megan Slyh (Matthew), Jacqueline Smith (Eric) and Collin Dupler.
