He was predeceased by: his wife Judith A. Pincelli; and his son Mack. He is survived by: his children, Michele R. Johnston (Mark Geitgey), Stephen Wicks, Matt Wicks (Nikki), Lisa Hacker (Tim) and Tammy Lee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, outdoor plants native to the region are preferred for the creation of a memorial garden.
