He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lester and Ilo Marie Cliffton (Price); and his wife Cindy Daugherty. He is survived by: his siblings, James Cliffton of Bryan and Nancy Mocherman (Jerry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice.
