He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gottwald and Carolyn Gottwald (Goller). He is survived by: his wife Judy; his sons, Tommy (Suzy), Michael (Theresa), Christopher (Rebecca) and David (Kelly); his stepchildren, Jeff (Aimee), Suzie (Jeff), Sheri (Scott) and Michelle; his sister Carol Spielberger; and his former spouse Karan Gottwald. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.

Due to ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions.
