He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford A. Hug and Muriel M. Hug (Goebel); his siblings, Lyle Hug and JoAnn Wolfe (Harry); and his siblings-in-law, Leo Muehlfeld and Sonda Manley.
He is survived by: his children, Jackie Singer (Jamie) of Defiance, Jeff Hug (Kelly) of Bryan, Julie Wiles (Todd) of Edgerton and Jason Hug (Lori) of Missouri; his siblings, Leroy "Dugan" Hug (Donna) of Edon, William Hug (Barb) of Archbold, Ohio, Linda Muehlfeld of Blakeslee, Norma Yaggy (Tom) of Fort Wayne, Pat Juhl of Angola, Sue Aschleman (Tom) of Auburn and LuAnn Swary of Seminole, Florida; and his siblings-in-law, Rose Hug of Bryan, Larry Manley of Pioneer and Nick Miller (Lisa) of Columbus. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Krill Funeral Service - Bryan (860 W Mulberry St, Bryan, OH 43506). A rosary was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Krill Funeral Home (860 W Mulberry St, Bryan, OH 43506). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Isidore Catholic Church (6324 OH-15, Defiance, OH 43512). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials are requested to the Defiance County Fair Board, Fairview School or St. Isidore Catholic Church.
