He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel H. Johnson, and Maxie Johnson, Sr. (Tate); his grandson Thomas Holt; and his siblings, Billy Johnson, Dana Vicars and Myra Floe Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda Jean Harding (Beverly); his children, Steven Johnson, Sr. (Sherry) of Tiffin, Ohio and Regina Harding of Montpelier; his grandchildren, Ted Holt, Ashley Langley (Mitchell), Steven Johnson, Jr. (Morgan) and Matthew Schindler; and his sister Judy Turner of Sun City, California.. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, his family request donations in Samuel's name be directed to an organization of the donor's choice.
