He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Weldon and Alice Ruth Hulbert (Robinson); and his siblings, Eugene "Gene" Hulbert, June O'Connor, Dorothy Bernath and Marian Pierce.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Schooley (Don) of Edgerton, Ohio, Nicole Hulbert of Edgerton, Ohio and Kyle Hulbert (Jennifer) of Kendallville, Indiana; and his siblings, Harold Hulbert, Ed Hulbert (Linda), Bob Hulbert (Judy), Ila Hoops, Virginia Wharry, Carol Eriksen, Elsie Long and Thelma Kiehl (Karl). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Due to pandemic restrictions, there will be no visitation and a private grave side service will be held in Lost Creek Cemetery near Hicksville, Ohio.
