He is survived by: his spouse Sharyn M. Mekus; his daughter Julie Curry (Dennis); his grandson Kyle Wheeler; his great grandchildren, Wyatt and Ryder; and his siblings, Fredrick, James, Paul, Larry, Joan Blomeke, Betty Edwards, Beverly Comden, Pauline Davis and Shirley McCreary.
