He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Edward and Margaret E. Butt (McFarland); his siblings, Hal Willard Butt and Wreatha N. Butt; and his nephew Michael Balzer.
He is survived by: his sister Jo Anne Balzer of Bryan; his nieces, Linda Balzer of Bryan and Terri Balzer; his great-nephews, Chad Balzer of Bryan and Joshua Balzer of Bryan; and his great-niece Shannon Strumm (Erik) of Livonia, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression to consider the charity of the donor's choice.
