It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Normagene Ely (Bryan, Ohio), born in Montpelier, Ohio, who passed away on February 6, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Mercer and Mabel Mercer (May); her husband Richard Rush Ely; and her siblings, Edgar Mercer, Ronald Mercer, Leota Ellerbusch, Betty Turner, Dorothy and Bonnie Mercer.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Buckman of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Barbara Freese (Marty) of Santa Monica, Rick Ely (Jodi) of Pioneer and David Ely (Jody) of Sylvania, Ohio. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be no public visitation and the family will hold private family services.
The family asks those remembering Normagene to make memorial contributions to the Williams County Humane Society or a hospice organization of the donor's choice.
