He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Hoops and Juanita Hoops (Nichols); his son Tracy Hoops; and his brothers, Kenneth and Lester Hoops.
He is survived by: his spouse Ila J. Hulbert; his children, Deborah Sorg (Aaron) of Fort Wayne and Kevin Hoops of LaGrange; and his siblings, Ronald Hoops (Mary Kay) of Malinta, Mary Lou Streicher (Louis) of Holgate and Barbara Kruse of Defiance.
The family requests memorial donations to the Bryan Parks & Recreation Department or Trinity Lutheran Church.
