He was predeceased by: his parents, Wyatt W. and Clara E. Posey, Sr. (Schultz); his son Thomas R. Posey; his granddaughter Heather Maynard (Sullivan); and his siblings, Leonard, John Posey, Beulah Grace Posey and Evelyn Martz.
He is survived by: his wife E. Colleen Schad; his children, Kay Woolace (Gary) of Stryker, Linda Sullivan (Dean) of Stryker, Doug Posey (Bobbie) of Stryker and Charleen Hooser (Curt) of West Unity, Ohio; his grandchildren, Robin Stewart (Eric), Scott Sullivan, Kaitlyn Posey, Nathaniel Hooser and Bradley Hooser (Adriana); his great grandchildren, Kyle Stewart (Theresa), Kevin Stewart (Tara), Craig Stewart, Tyler Maynard (Yvette Gutierrez) and Miranda Decker (Corey); his great great grandchildren, Owen, Landen, Lohgan and Oaklynn; and his brother W. William "Bill" Posey of Hicksville, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
