James B. Short Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanford Short and Iris Jean Short (Stipe); and his niece Angela Hope Calaway. He is survived by: his sister Rebecca "Becky" Calaway (Chris) of Clinton, Ohio; his nieces, Dr. Bethany Hahn (Anthony) of Worthington and Cassidy Calaway of Columbus, Ohio; his nephew Dr. Adam Calaway (Meredith) of Lakewood, Ohio; his great-nieces, Charlotte Hahn, Cora Hahn and Gretchen Hahn; and his great-nephew Benjamin Calaway. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home (206 N Lynn St, Bryan, OH 43506). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at the Floral Grove Cemetery.
The family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy consider memorial contributions be made to the Northwest Ohio Science and Engineering Fair.
