He is survived by: his parents, Kenneth Pierson and Iona Aber Pierson; his daughters, Carol Layman and Tamara Pierson; his grandson Brian Hayes of Zanesville; his wife Gloria "Jean" Pierson (Rutter); his daughter Jane E. Pierson; and his siblings, Martin Furey and Elizabeth Coffey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
