It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hugh R. Tawney of Bryan, Ohio, born in Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh R. Tawney and Opal L Tawney Sr. (Gearing); his wife Barbara Jean Herold; and his stepson Tim Leach. He is survived by: his children, Beth Woodbury (Jeff) of Defiance, Melissa Turner of Bryan and Christopher Tawney of St. Petersburg, Florida; his stepsons, Jason Leach (Lisa) of Powell and Donnie Leach of Spencerville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Woodbury; and his siblings, Steve Tawney of Lebanon, Jim Tawney of Baltimore, Jeff Tawney of St. Petersburg and Jane Tawney of Bryan. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Memorials are requested to Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center or the Richard Tawney Memorial Golf Scholarship fund- payable to the Bryan Area Foundation.
