He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Boynton and Dorothy Mae Boynton (Sackrider); his former wife Anne Wheller Boynton; and his siblings, Douglas Boynton and Janet Boynton Kravatz.
He is survived by: his children, Paul (Shelly) of Jacksonville, FL, John (Michelle) of Nashville, TN, Susan Closser (Bayard) of Decatur, IL and Linda Wade (Jeffrey) of Mason, Ohio; his grandchildren, Mitchell Closser (Morgan), Cole Closser, Anna Closser, Nathan Boynton, John R. Boynton, Michael Boynton, Olivia Wade, Charlie Wade, Jack Boynton, Will Boynton and Molly Boynton; and his sister Kay Boynton Takeuchi of Lodi.
