He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Faye (Cosper) and Burton Ora Bassett; and his brothers-in-law, Len Mitchell and Cecil Lemmon. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Ransom of Bryan; his son Burton A. Bassett, Jr. (Gwen) of Bryan; his grandsons, Burton John Bassett of Columbus and Mason Leigh Bassett of Madison, Wisconsin; his sister Nanette Mitchell of Pioneer; and his sister-in-law Nancy Lemmon of Montpelier.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethlehem Christian Union Church (3966 M-50 Rd, Edon, OH 43518). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests memorial donations to Bethlehem Christian Union Church or the Bryan Senior Center.
