He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Neal Spletzer; and his brother Eldon. He is survived by: his daughter Nancy Spletzer (Jeff Ricklefs) of Idaho Springs; his grandchildren, Emily and Joel; his daughter Janet Spletzer of Asheville; his grandsons, Stefan and Nathan Kelischek; his daughter Barbara Spletzer (Craig Cheetwood) of Maumee; his grandchildren, Hannah and Sam; his nephews, Eric and Craig; his niece Karen Spletzer; and also, Raleigh and Mary Spletzer of Cincinnati, Ohio..

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, there will be no visitation and interment will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date after the pandemic restrictions have been lifted.
