He was predeceased by: his parents, Hildred Frances (Mertsch) and Wayne Dowst. He is survived by: his wife Joan Dowst; his daughters, Suzanne T. Dowst of Brunswick and Amanda V. Dowst of East Greenwich; his grandson Hunter Michael Posillo; and his brother David W. Dowst (Brenda) of Albama.
