She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Halliwell and Pauline Halliwell (Doughtery); her husband Elmer "Al" Airey; her daughter Patricia Scharfenberg; and her son-in-law Thomas Straka.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathleen Straka and Laura Robinson (Gary); and her grandchildren, Kristin Shell (Derrick), Joshua Scharfenberg, Rachel Wilhelm (Jeremy), Keith Piskur (Mary), Sheila Bramley (Jacob) and Kevin Freeman (Stacy). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
