We bid farewell to George Hornung of Brunswick, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 27, 2025 at the age of 84. George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jakob Hornung and Magdalena Hornung; his wife Hilde; and his brother Stefan Hornung. He is survived by: his children, Conrad Hornung and Monica Bildstein; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Tatiana, Patrik, Kelli (Brian), Katie, Kristi, Brian, James (Brianna), Maggie, Benjamin and Uropa; his great grandchildren, Lilli, Willo, Barrett, Luna and Sora; his sister-in-law Marie Hornung; and his nephews, Erik and Mark Hornung (Hannah). He is also survived by children; and many extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Donauschwaben German-American Cultural Center, 7370 Columbia Rd., Olmsted Falls, OH 44138.
