He is survived by: his sister Charlene Jacobsen; his sons, E. Stefan Berchert III (Lisa) of Brunswick and Matthew D. M. Berchert (Andrea) of Midland, MI; and his grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Julia, Nicholas and Katherine.
