He was predeceased by: his daughter Rita Pernod (Paul); his parents, William Sumner and Macie Sumner; and his sibling Claude Sumner. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Sumner; his children, Nick Sumner Jr. (Carol), Keith Sumner (Courtney) and Donna Moore (Keith); his sister Della Sheppard (Vern); and his siblings-in-law, Alice Schroder (Jack), Bill Wood (Tammy) and Tommy Wood.
