He was predeceased by: his father Luster B. H. Riggs; his stepfather Theodore Lightfoot; and his mother Roxie Lightfoot (Riggs). He is survived by: his wife Janis; his children, Tanya Kaye Allen (Reynolds), Joseph Mark Riggs and John David Riggs; his daughter-in-law Kimberly Kay Riggs (Parkis); and his friend Thelma Girton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
