He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Mattis and Wilma Jane Mattis; his stepmother Maxine Mattis; and his sister Grace Hammond (Jack). He is survived by: his wife Jerrilieu "Judy" Mattis; his children, Wilma Pompili, Steve Mattis and Dave Mattis; his grandchildren, Shawn Pompili (Kristin), Nicholas Pompili, Coventry Pompili, Steven Mattis, Amber Mattis, Joshua Mattis (Michelle), Stephanie Williamson and Justin Mattis; his great grandchildren, Kaelan Pompili, Mia Pompili, Carson Mattis, Olivia Kory, Madison Kory, Paige Kory and Johnny Williamson; and his siblings, John Mattis (Joyce), Joe Mattis (Diana) and Sally Purvis (Bob). He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
