She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Carter and Cora Carter; her son Joe Barnett, III; and her brother Raymond Carter, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Joe; her daughters, Deborah Hardy (Joe), Linda Larkin (Kevin) and Kathryn Gibson (Stephen); and her siblings, Retha McQueen, Nancy Hough and Howard Carter. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts be sent to a new church that is being started by one of Margaret's grandchildren, Antioch Quincey, 17 Spruce St., Waltham, MA 02453.
