He was predeceased by: his parents, Urban Leo and Janet Marie Michel (Karl); and his siblings, Bobby, Jim Michel and Patricia Michel.

He is survived by: his wife Caroline Michel (Leathers); his daughter Allison; his son-in-law Joel Kotchka; his grandsons, Carson, Grayson and Jameson; and his siblings, Bill Michel (Julie), Kathy Christner (Jon), Jerry Michel (Carol), Mary Lou Schwieterman (Dana), Ted Michel (Belinda), Jenny Spidel (Guy), Paul Michel (Lynn), Molly Brunk (Garry) and Chris Michel (Brenda). He is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
