He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Bayer and Iva Bayer (Brumbaugh); his siblings, Ruth Lair, Sarah Flora, George, David and John Bayer; his grandchildren, Colin Bayer and Allison Beth Bayer; and his great grandchild Kylee Reece.
He is survived by: his wife Lorene Bayer (Sowers); his children, Tim Bayer, Carol Reece (Wiley Jr.), Jeff Bayer (Glenna) of Troy and Gary Bayer (Lora) of Brookville; his sister Mary Skiles; his grandchildren, Jonathon Bayer (Sarah), Ben Reece, Kristy Bowman (Sam), Anthony Reece (Jessilyn), Laura Flora (Stephen), Brandon Bayer (Evelyn), Brittany Flory (Jayce), Brooke Bayer, Blake Bayer, Logan Bayer (Jessica), Adrian Bayer (Janae), Cameron, Kaitlyn, Rylan, Madalyn and Malon Bayer; his daughter-in-law Jean Bayer; and his uncle Ezra Brumbaugh of Bradford. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
