He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Sawaska and Rose Papp Sawaska; his daughter Kathryn Sawaska; and his siblings, John Sawaska (Butch) and Rosemary Sava.

He is survived by: his wife Andrea Pasco; his son William J. Sawaska (BJ); his stepson Phillip Hershman (Kathy); his sister Betty Tiratto; his grandchildren, Brayden and Lyla Joe Sawaska; and his stepgrandchildren, Rafe Hershman, Sarah and Katie Terela. He is also survived by three nieces, two nephews, three great nephews and one great niece.
