He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Thomas and Cecilia Mary Swartz (Olson). He is survived by: his wife Nancy J. Schell; his children, Lisa Kos (Anthony), Neal Swartz (Theresa) and Thomas Swartz (Becky); his sisters, Myrtle "Traci" Downie and Sarah "Sally" J. Miglesz (Ron); his sister-in-law Beverly Stowe; and his friend Jim Hennessy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
