He was predeceased by: his son David; his parents, Andrew C. and Helen; and his brothers, Andrew (Anne) and Joseph (Rita).

He is survived by: his grandson Steven; his great grandchildren, Landon and David, Jr.; and his siblings, Shirley Hagerty (late James), Rita Salo (Richard) and Peter (Sally). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
