He is survived by: his wife Emily Shaffer (Church) of Mecca; his children, Dennis Shaffer (MarySue) of Bristolville and Patricia Sabat of Bristolville; his sister Shirley Muresan of Mecca; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth Granados (Ian), Laura Fike (Tim), Lena Lumpp (Daniel), Sarah Anderson (Aric), Samantha Shaffer, Steven Sabat Jr., Adam Shaffer and Benjamin Sabat (Kayla). He is also survived by 9 Great Grandchildren.
