He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester VanWinkle and Eleanor VanWinkle (Swanson). He is survived by: his children, Diana Bright (Liz) of Akron, Dawn Lytle (Jim) of Newton Falls, David VanWinkle (Debbie) of Warren and Eric; his sisters, Judy Janus of Newton Falls and Carol DeCamp (Jerry) of Canfield; his grandchildren, Daniel Prince, Nicole Wayt (Noah), Nicole Sundquist, Travis Lytle (Melissa), Eleanor VanWinkle, Dominic VanWinkle, Gavin VanWinkle-Bright, Hailey VanWinkle and Bently VanWinkle; and his great grandchildren, Arison Wayt, Michelina Wayt and Penelope Sundquist.
The family has requested that material contributions be made to the Hospice of the Valley or Mercy Health in James' memory.
