He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth Stoops; and his brothers, Jim and Kenneth. He is survived by: his mother Ardean Stoops (Wayne) of Champion; his children, Benjamin Stoops of Bristolville, Heather Reitz (James) of Cortland and Lacey Steepleton (Kenneth) of Youngstown; his stepmother Faye Stoops of Missouri; and his siblings, Janet Novel (Joe) of Champion, Gary Stoops (Sandy) of Mesopotamia, Rodney Stoops (Vickie) of Middlefield, Mike Stoops (Ann) of Middlefield and Pam Kren (Bill) of Warren. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
