She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Polen and Lottie "Liz" Polen; and her half-brother Gerald Polen. She is survived by: her siblings, Betty Hilderbrand (Ray) of Steubenville, OH, George Polen (Joan) of Rayland and William Polen of Dillonvale, OH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to Valley Hospice, in appreciation of their care of Shirley. - 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
