He was predeceased by: his parents, John Floyd Wetherell and Clarice Wetherell (Ball). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sophia Wetherell (Janoski); his sons, Shane Wetherell (Erica) and Brent Wetherell (Megan); his brother John Wetherell (Roxie); his sisters-in-law, Joyce Wetherell of New Alexandria, OH and Rhonda Hannan of New Alexandria, OH; and his nieces and nephews, Matt Wetherell, Lori Ingram (John), Amy Browning (Kevin) and Ross Wetherell.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic private services will be held at Wheeler Funeral Home and burial will take place at New Alexandria Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Brilliant American Legion Post 573.
