She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis M. Shaffer and Christine Shaffer (Lamm); her daughter Stephanie Kirkland; her brothers, Lonnie E. "Gene" Shaffer and Robert Shaffer; and her granddaughter Hannah Elizabeth Kirkland.
She is survived by: her husband Paul E. Walkup; her children, Chrissy Lumacang (Gio) of Benson, NC and John Walkup of Weirton, WV; her adoptive son Will Beaumont of Weirton, WV; her brother James Shaffer of Toronto, OH; and her grandchildren, Kaylee Norris, JT Norris and Leilani Lumacang.
