He was predeceased by: his parents, John Whitacre and Mary Whitacre (Coulter). He is survived by: his wife Crystal Whitacre (Hall); his children, Ronnie A. Whitacre of Blaine, Jennifer Hall of Wheeling, Becky Erwin (Matt) and Shonda Newell (Brian) of Wheeling; and his siblings, Joe Whitacre of Adena, Marcia Beck (Gary) of Bridgeport and John Whitacre Jr. (Kathy) of Belmont. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
