He is survived by: his wife Darlene V. Bennington (O'Malley); his children, Michelle Lucarelli (Sam) of Bridgeport, Robert Bennington (Stacey) of Bridgeport and Terry Bennington (Candy) of Stafford, VA; his siblings, Mary McGarry of Bellaire, OH, Shirley Angelo of Bellaire, OH, Ruth Ann Irvin of Shadyside, OH and Herbert Bennington, Jr. (Birdie) of Bellaire, OH; and his grandchildren, Brett Bennington (Skar), Eric, Shane Bennington, Crystal Williams (John), Tommy Bennington (Michele), Kelly Moores (Scott) and Brian Bennington. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
